Rather than overwhelm you by reviewing every product on the market, we have chosen a small collection of tools we have come to trust through everyday use.
The essentials.
Brave Browser
This is where we would start.
Installing Brave takes only a few minutes and immediately blocks many of the ads and trackers that follow you around the web.
Signal
Text messages are not nearly as private as many people assume.
When conversations matter, we use Signal. It is simple, dependable, and one of the easiest privacy improvements you can make.
Proton Mail
Your email account is the key to almost everything else online. Someone who gains access to it may be able to reset passwords for many of your other accounts.
That is why we recommend securing it early.
Proton Pass
Once you have a Proton account, adding Proton Pass is easy.
Instead of trying to remember dozens of passwords, Proton Pass creates and stores strong, unique passwords for the websites you use.
Proton VPN
Most of the time, you probably do not need a VPN.
When one is useful, especially while using public Wi-Fi, we recommend Proton VPN. It fits naturally into the same ecosystem as Proton Mail and Proton Pass.
